KOMFORTRAUSCHEN’s ‘Mechatronik’ is an exploration of dancefloor mayhem

KOMFORTRAUSCHEN is a live techno act from Germany. They recently released their unusual new singles ‘Mechatronik I’ and ‘Mechatronik II’ via Springstoff.

Tim Sarhan, Laurenz Karsten and Phillip Oertel are the self-confessed “precision-obsessed control freaks” behind the music.  Their unconventional approach to sound design involves using traditional instruments filtered through an array of pedals and effects. The resulting sound is a collage of energetic dance-floor mayhem.

They explain: “If you allow a band to play with sequencers, if you mechanically repeat the same notes over and over again, if you combine techno with the attitude of a garage rock band, it sounds like Komfortrauschen. Then you get ‘Mechatronik’… “
