Ahead of Roman and avant-garde musician Vincenzo Ramaglia’s album La parole release date, his song ‘La parole 5’ off of the new album was remixed by English producer Mike Paradinas aka µ-Ziq. Vincenzo is known for the style of music that he associates with called IDM.
Paradinas has been releasing music for over two years and is an idol in the electronic music scene. He has also toured alongside the World-renowned act Bjork and collaborated with Aphex Twin, Speedy J, and Luke Vibert. The producer has released music via Rephlex Records, Astralwerks, and Virgin Records, and owns recording label Planet Mu who have hosted talents such as Floating Points, Venetian Snares and Jlin.
He released the remix to Ramaglia’s original on the 7th of February 2020, a week ahead of the La parole album release, via PEM Records, the same company that worked on the La parole album. Paradinas comments on the remix, “I was trying to impose some structure and limit my use of the beautiful singing of Vincenzo’s untamed and sprawling original.”
In essence, Paradinas released a remix that compliments the skillfully executed disorder of Ramaglia’s original with its smooth synth-wave overlay. He tries not to manipulate and overpower Laura Le Prunenec’s haunting vocals and leaves it to linger and layer beautifully with a Paradinas touch.
