Parallel Society has announced the full lineup for its March 6-7, 2026 event in Lisbon’s Marvila neighborhood. New additions include DJ Stingray 313 and Los Bitchos, joining Apparat, Gilles Peterson, Clark, Moses Boyd, Calibre, and Kode9. The event blends experimental music with civic tech and decentralized ideas, bringing together international artists and local voices from Lisbon’s underground to explore new cultural and technological models. DJ Stingray 313, also known as Detroit’s Sherard Ingram, developed his style in the 1980s Buy-Rite era, later working with Drexciya and founding Urban Tribe. His sharp electro sound still shapes fast-paced club music today. Los Bitchos bring a mix of cumbia rhythms, psych-rock, and surf influences, gaining fans through energetic live shows and their debut album. Each artist brings a unique background: Apparat has moved from techno to ambient music, Gilles Peterson has promoted jazz-influenced sounds through radio and record labels, Clark is known for his experimental electronics and soundtrack work, Moses Boyd leads London’s jazz scene with electronic elements, Calibre is a key figure in liquid drum & bass, and Kode9 helped define early dubstep through Hyperdub.
The first day features an open-format [un]conference with workshops, labs, discussion areas, and hands-on sessions focused on decentralization, privacy, open source, and stewardship. On the second day, the spotlight shifts to music, with club sets, live performances, and genre-blending acts. Local favorites lead the lineup, including Gayance, Kokeshi, Violet, SoundPreta, Maria Amor & Shcuro, Chima Isaaro, Afrojamslx, Nelson Makossa, and Collective Unconscious. The event is supported by Fábrica Moderna, Rare Effect, Manja, Rádio Quantica, and COOP.
Logos is hosting an exhibition that looks at new forms of governance and networked communities. The show features paintings by João Cardoso (Cardoz), animations by Ana Tortos, video and sound pieces by Batu, installations and prints by João Magalhães, work by Tomás João (Nature The Artist), and 3D visuals from Collective Unconscious. Organized as a non-profit coalition, the event aims to support Portugal’s creative scene and connect it with global decentralized movements.
Louisa Haining shared: “Parallel Society is about building practical alternatives for how culture operates. From the (un)conference to the live programme, we’re bringing together underground artists, open-call projects, and local voices to test new models of collaboration and production. This edition reflects our commitment to experimentation, shared authorship, and creating tangible opportunities for artists working outside conventional systems.“
