Belgian techno DJ and producer Maite Dedecker unveiled her latest single, ‘Voice of the Desert’, on Nov 6, 2026 via TRBL Music. At just 20, Dedecker has already brought her sound to Tomorrowland, Ostend Beach Festival, Garage Club, Vaag Club, and a range of European venues. Her discography spans releases on Kurai Records, Memoro, Bonzai Records, and Black Hole Recordings, with a recent remix for Armada Records. She is currently finalizing her take on Cherry Moon Trax’s ‘Acid Dream’.
Raised in Bree, Dedecker grew up surrounded by music, her father a former DJ who kept the house filled with records. Initially training at the Royal Ballet School Antwerp and Brussels International Ballet School, she shifted her focus to electronic music after an injury cut short her dance ambitions. The transition to DJing offered a new channel for expression, allowing her to translate emotion directly to the dancefloor. Looking ahead, Dedecker aims to refine her artistic vision and establish a label to support emerging producers navigating the often insular electronic scene.
‘Voice of the Desert’ introduces atonal, industrial-tinged synths layered over a propulsive, low-passed percussive foundation. The track builds in density before breaking into a focused techno drop, where driving kicks, acid-inflected basslines, and a gated vocal pad interplay with precision. Clocking in at two and a half minutes, the single remains taut yet impactful, a testament to Dedecker’s command of her sonic palette. The release aligns with the forward-thinking techno of T78, Amelie Lens, and Charlotte de Witte.
Maite Dedecker shared: “Made this track after visiting Tomorrowland. All those influences from Psy, trance, techno and energy gave me the power and inspiration to have it all in one track.”
