Sara Landry returns with her sophomore album, Divine Intervention, released October 16 on her own HEKATE record label. The Texas-born producer and DJ builds on the momentum of her 2024 debut, Spiritual Driveby, which drew attention from GRAMMY.com, Billboard, and Rolling Stone. Landry’s 2023 Boiler Room set surpassed 11 million views, catalyzing a surge in global bookings. Recent milestones include consecutive Coachella appearances, a historic headline set at Las Vegas’s Sphere for Unity, and a back-to-back performance with Amelie Lens at Ultra Miami.

The album, which has 14 tracks, starts with the title track, a psytrance song produced in collaboration with Electric Universe, the German project that Landry has referred to as mentors in that genre. ‘Interesting’ pairs her spoken-word vocals with tough techno kicks. ‘Energy’, created with Ali James, is based around a strong bassline. ‘Expansion’, done with Aaron Hibell, adopts a slower and more sparse arrangement. Other tracks include contributions from Alex Farell, Alt8, Godtripper and Saint Monet. The collection draws on hard bounce, psytrance, psy-techno and hardstyle and was written over about ten months between touring dates. A number of intended collaborations ended up becoming solo tracks, and some recording sessions resulted in different material from what had been initially planned.

The album arrives on the heels of headline shows at Red Rocks and a HEKATE stage takeover at Ultra Miami. Landry retains the heavy kick and bass-driven intensity of her earlier work, while weaving in stylistic elements that have surfaced in her latest performances.
